Vinyasa yoga is an active style of yoga that mingles the essential techniques of conscious breath with a fluid and continuous flow of movement used to transition between sustained postures. Students will notice a gradual progression of improved concentration, flexibility, strength, circulation, respiration and lymphatic flow as the practice deepens. This class will also explore meditation and breath work to calm the fluctuations of the mind. Each teacher brings their own distinct style, sequencing and catalog of music into their instruction, so each class is a unique experience. All ages and levels are welcome to come practice in this fun atmosphere!
This class uses the same instruction as a vinyasa flow class with heat set to 80-90 degrees to help students go deeper in their postures, find more flexibility and aid in detoxification. This is a strong and fun class that will make you break a sweat, feel invigorated and help you connect with yourself in new ways! Although some yoga experience is recommended, it is never required.
All-Levels Hatha Flow
Hatha Yoga is the oldest and most most common style of yoga that is practiced today. This class will combine the practice of steady postures with pranayama (yoga breathing techniques), however, deeper attention will be placed on proper alignment and mindful transitions between poses. In addition, a 'flow-like' style will be integrated throughout class to provide a layer of energy, as desired. The use of props and modifications are widely offered as well. Expect the classroom temperature to be set around 73-78 degrees as your body will naturally build heat from within. Hatha yoga has many benefits! Come explore all of the physical and mental potentials you have the ability to unlock as you deepen your yoga practice!
Yin + Vin
Almost like yin and yang, a 50/50 combination of vigorous vinyasa and restorative yin yoga. Half the class will be active and energetic, focusing on sun salutations and strengthening poses, while the other half will be done primarily on the floor with the use of props and blankets. The joined practice of Vinyasa and Yin yoga invites students to restore their energy, strengthen the body and immune system, nourish the fluids in the joints, encourage organ health, promote deeper sleep, and calm the mind. The yin and yang qualities of this class will help students find a healthy balance in their fast paced, busy lives. All levels and ages welcome, perfect for beginners.
Gently Heated Yin + Vin
This class uses the same instructions as the Yin + Vin class, but with the room gently heated. The heat loosens your muscles and joints, maximizing your ability to stretch and strengthen your body while eliciting a heightened state of focus. This invites students to reach "Dharana", known in Sanskrit as concentration or one-pointedness through movement. All-levels and ages welcome.
Yoga + Meditation Fusion
An all-levels class perfect for beginners who are interested in a deeper yoga experience than we touch on in a regular Vinyasa class. This class is an opportunity to introduce students to restorative yoga, meditation, breathwork (pranayama), various healing techniques (kriya, mudra, bandhas) as well as Tsao, Buddhism, Hindu and Yogic philosophy. Students will also have the freedom to ask questions and “workshop” anything that interests them in the realm of spirituality, meditation and yoga. With the use of poetry, texts, essential oils and rhythmic music, this class will leave you feeling open, rejuvenated, balanced, grounded and relaxed!
Open Meditation + Yoga Hour
If you had a treehouse in your backyard, you’d want to come play in it whenever you want, wouldn’t you? That’s what open yoga and meditation hour is for. Students, practitioners and experts alike are invited to come play in our treehouse and find some peace in their own private practice. Essential oils, music, props and blankets are available for use at no extra charge. An instructor will also be available for questions, comments and suggestions.
